Please hand any items you find to staff at the Metro stations, railway stations, or bus terminals rather than to the drivers. They are immediately recorded in a special register and you will be issued with a receipt.

Generally, items found and handed in at a metro station, railway station, or bus terminal office can be returned to their owner by a member of the RATP’s staff on the same day that they are handed in, subject to certain conditions.


After a period of three days, you will need to contact the Bureau des Objets Trouvés (Lost Property Office) at the Préfecture de Police (police headquarters, situated on the corner of rue de Dantzig. Metro stop: "Convention". Bus stop: No.89):
